Birds Just Want to Have Fun
Live TV took a wild turn in 2015 when a scarlet ibis named Sophie decided KFMB reporter Nichelle Medina’s head was the perfect perch. Nichelle stayed impressively calm, proving she’s a total pro, even with feathers in her hair. The real comedy began when Sophie flew over to co-host Eric Kahnert, who looked far less thrilled about a surprise visit from the bird.
His reaction had viewers cracking up as he tried to dodge the bird’s attention. Nichelle’s cool demeanor and Eric’s hilarious discomfort made the segment an instant classic, showing that sometimes, animals are the real stars of the show.
