Sophia Loren è molto vicina al traguardo dei 90 anni ma per tutti è icona del cinema internazionale, la cui carriera cinematografica è stata meritatamente premiata e apprezzata in tutti i continenti. Fu eletta a soli 15 anni Miss Eleganza nel concorso di Miss Italia e di certo la sua straordinaria avvenenza fisica le fu di aiuto per entrare nel mondo dello spettacolo. Una bellezza comunque supportata da un talento innato per la recitazione che la portò a diventare una delle attrici più grandi di tutti i tempi. Magistrale la sua interpretazione ne La Ciociara che vinse l’Oscar nel 1960. Oggi l’attrice ha qualche problema di salute dovuto all’età avanzata ma nonostante ciò partecipa alle manifestazioni cinematografiche e alle serate di gala mostrandosi come la diva eccezionale che è sempre stata.
